Today we started out the day with math. We did some review from things we did earlier in the week, like going over our flash cards of zero through five. Then we learned to write and spell six and seven. Later in the afternoon for literature we read the poem The Purple Cow by Gellett Burgess. We then talked about rhyming words. The girls then drew silly animals that were the wrong color. They thought that was pretty funny. Then they made purple cow puppets out of lunch bags. We finished up the purple cow unit with purple cow milkshakes. I think that was their favorite part of the whole day . . . and probably mine, too.
